Nawras Mousbak customers can now send credit to mobiles of friends and family abroad

Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider is delighted to announce a new International Credit Transfer service which now makes it possible for Nawras Mousbak customers to send credit directly to almost any prepaid mobile phone account in India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Another Nawras first for Oman, this service allows Nawras Mousbak customers to get closer to their friends and family abroad by transferring airtime to prepaid customers of 24 different operators, in five countries. Details of all current partners are shown on the website at www.nawras.om and new operators and countries will be added to the list soon.
Like all Nawras services, International Credit Transfer is easy to use. Customers simply dial *222# to view instructions in English or Arabic. From the menu displayed, International Credit Transfer should be selected and then the recipient’s international mobile number entered. This is followed by deciding the amount of airtime to send from the choice of four denominations shown for each currency. Finally, customers confirm the instruction by selecting Y for yes.
When sending International Credit Transfer to the Philippines, for example, customers can choose to send 60, 150, 300 or 500 Pesos. For convenience, the rate of exchange against the Omani Rial is also displayed.
Further convenience gives Nawras customers the opportunity to save up to five numbers in the phonebook by following the simple steps under ‘Save Number’ to make subsequent recharges even faster. Saved numbers can be changed easily too.
When the International Credit Transfer message is sent, the corresponding value and charge is deducted directly from the sending customer’s Nawras Mousbak credit. Any amount can be transferred up to a maximum of 19 Omani Rials per month.
Ammar Al-Lawati, Nawras VAS – Payment Manager, said, “We are delighted to be first to introduce this helpful service for our customers in Oman. This is a great way for Omanis to send credit to their family members who are travelling abroad as well as to those working or studying in other countries.
“Also, for many expatriates living in the Sultanate, International Credit Transfer is a simple and instant way to send credit to their family members at home in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh or Egypt. The service is also useful for recharging a foreign SIM card prior to travel.”
Nawras launched this new service in conjunction with TranferTo, a company providing a global airtime hub to send credit in a fast, convenient and reliable way and importantly, in a cost effective manner. All transfers take place in real time.
International Credit Transfer can be used as often as customers like and even used as a safe way to send credit as a gift on a birthday or any other special occasion.
A member of the Qtel Group, Nawras is committed to enriching the lives of people in Oman through better communication services.
