The eighth Nawras Goodwill Journey has been honoured by the Omani Women’s Association in the Wilayat of Masirah during a ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. AbdulMunim bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information. His Excellency presented Nawras with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the company’s efforts to improve the daily lives of people across the Sultanate.

Khalid bin Ali Al Zadjali, Events and Protocol Manager at Nawras and Leader of the Nawras Goodwill Journey, said, “We are humbled to be recognised with this honour in celebration of the eighth Nawras Goodwill Journey. Every year we endeavour to spread smiles and compassion to local communities across the country. Our contributions support associations in their vision to further develop local communities and empower those most in need.”

He added, “Alongside helping children and families in a number of different ways, one of the most gratifying experiences of this year’s Goodwill Journey was helping a group of Omani women to set up their own businesses by providing them with the necessary tools to bring their capabilities to life. Whether it is through innovative products and services or pioneering community projects, Nawras is strongly committed to creating opportunities and changing the lives of people in Oman.”

Since the launch of the programme, Nawras Goodwill Journey volunteers have visited over 150 charitable organisations and travelled over 48,000 kilometres to spread joy and help to communities in every Governorate. The initiative includes donations of essential household items, toys and technological devices to the Omani Women’s Associations to further assist with the valuable programmes offered by them.

A Qtel Group company, Nawras ensures that donations fulfil the requirements of each organisation and create a significant long term benefit to recipients. As part of its on-going commitment to Oman, Nawras is a strong supporter of social and cultural events throughout the year as well as contributing in kind through the hours of voluntary work undertaken by Nawras family members.
