The Municipal Services General Committee reviews ways of Enhancing services to the Public

In its first meeting after formation, the Municipal Service General Committee in the Municipal System in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reviewed ways of enhancing the services provided by the Municipal System to the residents, investors and visitors of the Emirate. The committee looked into the unification process of the current strategies and policies in the service sector and how to be developed in order to ensure the realization of the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision which aims for the government of Abu Dhabi to become one of the best governments in the world in terms of services provided to the citizens.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Ghareeb Al Bloushi, Managing Director of the Municipal Affairs Support Sector, in the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) and attended by a number of executive directors and representatives from the DMA and the Emirates Municipalities, Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain city and the Western Region.
the main focus of the meeting was reviewing the different initiatives, projects and programs used in the service sector within the Municipal System and ways of unifying and developing these programs in line with the new strategy of unification in the Municipal System.
In order to enhance quality of service, The Municipal Services General Committee decided to review the strategic indicators related to the service sector in the Municipal System and mechanism of analysing and developing these services, and will review all studies produced by the municipalities in the service sector to exchange benefits and lessons learned among all municipalities. A special team will analyse the rating results of “TAM” centres experiment in the Western Region Municipality which related directly to customers services and making all government services available under one roof. The benefits of this experiment will be exchanged with all other municipalities in order to enhance services and make life easier for customers.
It is worth mentioning that the Municipal Services General Committee had been formed by a decree issued by H.E Majid Ali Al Mansouri the Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs and is chaired by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Ghareeb Al Bloushi, Managing Director of the Municipal Affairs Support Sector at the DMA. In addition to the unification of municipal services, the responsibilities and tasks of the committee include initiating new strategies to develop services in the municipal system in line with the Abu Dhabi government agenda policy and coordinate within the municipal system and with strategic partners in the public and private sector to provide full and comprehensive quality services to the residents of the Emirate.
