More new stores open as Dubai Festival City Mall’s expansion programme gathers momentum

Five new stores have opened their doors to welcome customers at Dubai Festival City Mall, adding more shopping choices and excitement for the mall’s visitors.
Prestigious retailers Jashanmal, Iconic, Kipling, Cinnabon and Annabelle have joined the 25 brands that started trading at Dubai Festival City Mall last month when the mall’s AED 1,2bn expansion programmewas unveiled.
According to the plan, upon the completion of itsexpansion programme Dubai Festival City Mall will feature a total of 420 stores. Of those, Massimo, DANI by Daniel K and Paul café are expected to open in the coming weeks.
“We already have a number of unique-to-Dubai brands in our portfolio including IKEA’s flagship store, Ferrari store and the iconic Hard Rock Café.And as we continue making progress with our redevelopment project, we are expanding possibilities for shoppers and retailers alike with the addition of more stores, F&B outlets andthe all-weather waterfront, which will be Dubai Festival City Mall’s unique differentiator.” said Brad Merchant, General Manager of the mall.
Once opened to the public early next year, the 300metres-long waterfront promenade will feature more than 20 Creekside restaurants offering diners spectacular vistas of Dubai’s sprawling skyline. More dining options will be available at the indoors food court which is undergoing a radical makeover.
Scheduled for an October completion, the 3,500sqm food court will offer a combined capacity of over 2,000 seats and feature Dubai’s only free supervised play area for children. In all a total of 75 F&B outlets will be dotted across various areas of Dubai Festival City Mall for what is anticipated to become one of Dubai’s most compelling culinarypropositions.
More announcements detailing what lies ahead for the mall will be made during the course of its expansion programmeand will include a first-to-the-UAE anchor department store, a new family entertainment centre and plenty more unique retail and entertainment concepts that promise to establish Dubai Festival City Mall as a must-visit shopping and leisure destination for residents and tourists alike.
