MoF holds customer interactive workshops at GITEX Technology Week 2016

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) organised two workshops under the theme “Voice of the Customer”, during its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2016. The workshops aimed to review customers’ opinions on services related to tax certificates, such as the ‘VAT certificate’, Tax Domicile Certificate’, and the “Renewal of the Registration of Suppliers” in the suppliers federal record. The workshops aimed at increasing customers’ satisfaction levels.

The workshops were held in the presence of a number of heads from sponsorship departments, service experts in addition to heads of departments at MoF. The workshops, which targeted customers and GITEX visitors, covered topics around tax certificate services and suppliers’ services.

HE Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of MoF and HE Musabah Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector at MoF stressed the importance of their being present at the events to interface with customers and hear their views, as well as activate direct channels of communication with customers to meet their needs quickly and easily.

HE Younis Haji Al Khoori stressed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the march to excellence and innovation in government financial work, providing services based on the highest standards of integrity, in order to develop government services, provide creative solutions and bring them to practice in a creative way.

HE Al Khoori: “Customers’ expectations are continuously evolving. This requires the need to provide new innovative channels and services such as MoF mServices app which offers customers tax certificate and suppliers’ services with high accuracy, in addition to a special feature which prioritises any request through the app over the website, to reduce time for completing transactions and enhance efficiency of government work.”

The workshops “Voice of the Customer” aimed to raise awareness among participants on tax certificates by reviewing the benefits of these services which can be accessed through MoF mServices app. Participants also had the opportunity to share their opinions and recommendations for future developments.

MoF organised a series of activities during GITEX Technology Week 2016, such as launching “MoF Private Cloud” (IaaS) that provides a secure IT infrastructure with minimal intervention from operators and system administrators. MoF and FCSA also signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen technical cooperation between the two parties and encourage the exchange of financial and economic information.
