MoF participates in the nationwide campaign to mark “Flag Day”

In the presence of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) participated in yesterday’s nationwide campaign to mark ‘Flag Day’, which took place on November 3 and coincided with the anniversary of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession to the UAE presidency.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, called for the launch of this campaign and during his recent speech, appealed for Emirati citizens and all federal and local government entities across the country, to participate and raise the UAE flag in unison.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum raised the UAE flag at MoF’s Headquarters in Dubai yesterday at 12 noon, and participated in a recital of the UAE national anthem in the presence of HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF, assistant undersecretaries and heads of departments, in addition to MoF employees. Moreover, representatives from the General Authority for Pensions and Social Security and Federal Customs Authority also participated in this initiative to mark ‘Flag Day’.
HH Sheikh Hamdan praised the ‘Flag Day’ initiative, which reflects the UAE citizens’ love and loyalty to the UAE’s wise leadership, which is headed by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, a pioneering leader of the UAE’s renaissance and its development on a local, regional and international level.
HE added: “We have accomplished many successes and achievements over the past four decades, and invested tremendous efforts in different areas of our society. In fact, none of this would have occurred without the keenness of the leadership to mark the UAE as a safe homeland for both nationals and expatriates and a source of pride for the future generations.”
The Ministry’s staff in Abu Dhabi also participated in this nationwide campaign and raised the flag at precisely the same time.
