Ministry of Finance hosts Iftar for its employees

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) held an annual Iftar event for its employees and senior management to reflect the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, where the event was attended by children from the Zayed House for Family Care and a select group of journalists and members of the media. Held at the Hilton hotel in Abu Dhabi on Monday August 15, 2011, the event was also attended by HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, HE HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of (MOF) and Assistant Undersecretaries of Support Services Sector at MoF.
In addition to reinforcing Ramadan values, the Iftar was held to enhance relations between MoF employees and the senior management and to reinforce a sense of team spirit, which is important in raising the overall level of performance among staff. The event also aimed at promoting relations with the local community and members of the UAE media, to reflect existing strong ties and reiterate MoF’s commitment to all groups and members of society.
Children from the Zayed House for Family Care joined MoF employees and other attendees at the Iftar event, and left a positive impression on staff members, guests, and journalists alike.
Commenting on the event, HE Musabah Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary of Support Services Sector at MoF said: “I would like to take the opportunity to wish UAE residents a blessed Ramadan filled with happiness and prosperity for our nation.”

It also reflected our recognition of the UAE media and the respect MoF holds for them, reiterating our communication strategy with journalists, which is built on clarity and transparency. We were also pleased to have children from the Zayed House for Family Care with us during the Iftar, which reflected our continued commitment towards all members of our local community.”
