Media Rotana appoints Chef Idin Asmitha as new Executive Chef

The 5-star Media Rotana Dubai is delighted to announce the appointment of Idin Asmitha as the new Executive Chef. In his new role, Idin will oversee the entire hotel’s day-to-day kitchen operations to deliver high-quality food and culinary experiences to the guests.
Hailing from Indonesia, Chef Idin began his career in 1993 at Hilton Jakarta. Boasting over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the hospitality industry, he has worked with many well-known brands and establishments in Indonesia and across the Middle East. He has also worked with internationally recognized Michelin Starred Chefs including Henrik Yde-Andersen, Igor Macchia, Michael Schlow, and Giorgio Locatelli.
Prior to joining the team, Idin worked for the pre-opening of different hotels where he served as an integral part of the culinary team, creating excellent dishes with a unique blend of creative flair and passion for food.

In his new role, Idin will oversee the kitchen operations for the all-day dining restaurant, Channels as well as Nelson’s, Prego’s, The Terrace and the private catering and banquet unit.
