McDonald's Qatar Hosts Family Festival at Al Mirqab Mall

Several families bonded during the Family Festival organized by McDonald's Qatar at its recently opened outlet at Al Mirqab Mall. The festival drew teeming crowds of visitors who participated in fun, frolic and games.
Taking place over three days at Al Mirqab's unique McDonald's outlet, the Festival provided a blend of booth and table games with more contemporary elements including a raffle draw, and offered something for all the family.
The activities started with a parade comprising McDonald's characters and kiddie crew that marched all across the mall to gather the families and ended in the middle of the mall where the event was taking place. Students from Stafford Sri Lankan School Philippine International School Qatar entertained the guests on the first two days of the event with marching band while Beats & Bytes professional hip hop band and PISQ Kindergarten and High School Hip Hop Dancers performed during the three-day event.
Visitors participated in a huge range of performances and live games like 'colour match', 'spin to win' and 'shoot that ball', where winners of the game were entitled to pick-a-prize from brands comprising Funderdome, Ziddy, Flik Cinéma, Sergent Mayor and Benetton, besides meals from McDonald's. They also witnessed magic skills performance by McDonald's employees. In addition, there were several live games like 1 minute challenge, Elephant march and thread and noodling around.
To add more color to the festivity, McDonald’s staff centered the stage with joyful activities – Pauline, Jeisha, Faye, Reggie, Mary Cris and Fahad enthralled the guests with foot tapping beats when they sang while the kids enjoyed songs sung by other kids like Bea, Chloe, Nicole, Katherine, Janus, Ayen, Unica, Alijah Gabrielle and Darrell.
Ghada Kamal, Marketing Manager at McDonald's Qatar said: "This event focused on the 'feel delicious good moments easy for everyone' aspect characterizing our brand, and focused as well on our interest and acknowledgment in families spending quality times together. All activities revolved around adults and children so that parents would get the opportunity to take part in those special moments with their kids. “
“Children who performed were chosen from Sri Lankan and Philippines' schools which helped shed the light on their talent we are sure their parents are proud of. The response has been fantastic, and we have just loved seeing the mall heaving with crowds of people!” she added.
"We would like to thank the families, schools, kiddie crew and the band for making this event a success and for sharing those feel good moments with us," Ghada Kamal concluded.

In 1917, 15-year-old Ray Kroc lied about his age to join the Red Cross as an ambulance driver, but the war ended before he completed his training. He then worked as a piano player, a paper cup salesman and a Multimixer salesman.
In 1954, he visited a restaurant in San Bernardino, California that had purchased several Multimixers. There he found a small but successful restaurant run by brothers Dick and Mac McDonald, and was stunned by the effectiveness of their operation. They produced a limited menu, concentrating on just a few items – burgers, fries and beverages – which allowed them to focus on quality and quick service.
They were looking for a new franchising agent and Kroc saw an opportunity. In 1955, he founded McDonald’s System, Inc., a predecessor of the McDonald’s Corporation, and six years later bought the exclusive rights to the McDonald’s name and operating system. By 1958, McDonald’s had sold its 100 millionth hamburger
