Mashreq honored by coveted ACN Arab Technology Award

In a scintillating ceremony held at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel recently, the ACN Arab Technology Awards 2013 declared Mashreq as undisputed winner for ‘Banking & Finance Implementation of the year’. Arab Computer News is one of the most influential magazines and a leading authority on information technology in varied industry laterals. 

Mashreq received this award for its truly disruptive innovation and first of its kind eCube Retail Branch concept implementation. 

The honor was conferred upon representatives from Mashreq at the 9^th Arabian Computer News Arab technology Awards amidst a crème de la crème crowd of over 300 leading executives and decision makers from the region’s IT industry. 

The eCube Retail Branch is a first of its kind globally, which includes the most cutting edge of technology interactions and makes use of all the touch screen and motion gesture mediums available now for retail adoption. The innovation differentiator comes not from just the comprehensive implementation of all the technologies, but in how content is delivered in an engaging experience and how consumers are intuitively inter-acting with technologies they have never seen before. 

From Microsoft Kinect Sensors that detect motion and gestures from the passing customer, to Windows 8 tablets, PixelSense digital tables, interactive HD walls, virtual avatars and video chat - the eCube retail concept is redefining the bank branch or store.  Customers are now seeing the benefits of increased engagement with branch staff and are now able to use digital technologies as a convenient channel for enquiring and applying for our products. With the introduction of smart technology, the eCube branch experience is keeping the customer in mind, and simplifying day to day banking.
