Markazia Toyota Releases the Toyota Highlander HEV SUV in the Jordanian Market

After much anticipation, Markazia Toyota has finally launched the Toyota Highlander HEV in the Kingdom, making it the first Highlander vehicle Toyota introduces in the Middle East. With best-in-class fuel consumption, the seven-seater SUV is now available with specs suitable for the Jordanian market and at a special price relative to the outstanding levels of technology, performance and comfort the vehicle offers.

Combining over 23 years of experience in environmentally-conscious technologies with its vast SUV expertise, Toyota has managed to successfully develop an eco-friendly SUV with the Highlander. The all-wheel drive encompasses a drive and motion system that operates via two-power sources; a 2.5-liter DOHC engine and two electric motors, which, together, generate a total output of 240hp and achieve a low fuel consumption rate of no more than 5L/100km. Depending on the speed, driving preference and terrain, the driver may select one of three driving modes - eco, normal and sport - and can either rely solely on electric power with no fuel consumption or harness the energy produced by the engine and motors combined.

On the exterior, the  Toyota Highlander stands out from the crowd with its powerful and modern aesthetic that draws on Toyota's TNGA-K platform. Boasting larger dimensions than its predecessor, the model features more pronounced body lines; upper and lower grilles outfitted with chrome-plated parts; and a Panoramic View Moonroof that enhances the sense of openness and lends ultimate passenger comfort. The family-friendly SUV has a 60mm longer wheelbase; relocated outer mirrors for improved visibility; and streamlined LED lights that highlight the sharp, distinct angles of its design.

The unique identity of the  Toyota Highlander is complemented by a spacious interior equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. In addition to a seven-passenger capacity and two rear seat rows that can be folded flat to increase storage space, the cabin offers dual-zone automatic climate control, a color Multi-Information Display and an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Moreover, the  Toyota Highlander is integrated with Toyota Safety Sense - a standard in all Toyota models - that includes the Pre-Collision System, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams, Blind Spot Monitor and other systems and features that ensure the safety of everyone onboard.
