MAD Solutions Grants Its Distribution Award to Director Yahya Mourad's Film Project Celebrating Life and Madness

MAD Solutions presented its Distribution Award to director Yahya Mourad and producer Nour Chammaa's film project Celebrating Life and Madness within the events of the Tripoli Film Festival. The film project marks director Yahya Mourad's debut feature film. The award offers marketing and distribution services across the Arab world to the winning film project.

The events of Celebrating Life and Madness tell the story of an artist/researcher who questions identity and memory. He meets a person who later on turns out to have Alzheimer's, a fact that peaks his interest. They share exceptional experiences together, which leads to the liberation of time, space, and the influences of memory itself.

Director Yahya Mourad's latest film is the documentary Sunday Market: Tripoli that won the Golden Olive Award for Best Independent Film at the Notre Dame University-Louaize International Film Festival (NDUIFF) and took part in several international film festivals, including the Urban Films Festival in France, São Paulo International Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal.

Based in Tripoli, North Lebanon, Yahya Mourad is a Lebanese filmmaker, director, and cinematographer. Yahya has been taking part in a number of national, regional and international festivals and workshops, with his startup short docu-fiction Belonging: Tripoli. Since graduating in 2015, he has been working on a range of personal and professional projects, including short experimental documentaries, TV commercials, music videos, and weddings. Yahya always tries to create the visual language that reflects the spirit of the people or places he captures. Despite the diversity of his projects, he always stays truthful to what each demands, while adding his own touch and signature to the project.
