Mövenpick Tala Bay Aqaba Celebrates 8th Year With 8 Achievements

Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba has been marking its eighth anniversary by celebrating eight key accomplishments over the last year. The five-star resort on Jordan’s Red Sea shores is renowned for its beachfront location, as well as its family-friendly services and facilities.

At the 2017 World Travel Awards, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba picked up the award for Jordan’s Leading Resort. It was the fourth consecutive year the 306-room resort was honoured for its variety of facilities, including eight restaurants and bars, four swimming pools, a spa, dive centre, water sports, meeting rooms and outdoor venues.

Its family facilities were also hailed in the 2017 Luxury Travel Guide, where it was listed as Jordan’s Luxury Family Friendly Hotel. Dedicated family rooms and a kids’ pool complement the kids’ club, with activities that range from pastry classes to sandcastle building and Zumba.

Guest feedback remains an important factor to establish continued success, so the two accolades from the 2017 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards added to the property’s track record. The beach resort was included in the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Jordan, as well as in the Top 25 Family-friendly Resorts in the Middle East.

Just in time for its anniversary, Zara Spa Tala Bay claimed the 2018 Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence in the category for Best Spa in Africa, Indian Ocean and Middle East. The extensive spa and wellness destination features 11 treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, ice fountain, fragrant experience showers with colour therapy, hairdresser, nail studio and a hydro pool with skylight.

In addition to the five awards, the hotel obtained prestigious recertification for Green Globe, Green Key and Blue Flag. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba was the upscale Swiss hospitality group’s first Green Globe-accredited property within the Middle East in 2011, and has since maintained its operations to the highest environmental standards. Its Blue Flag status recognises its commitment to sustainable development of beaches, safety and water quality.
