Lufthansa wins Best European Airline in the Middle East

Lufthansa proved that it is the best among the best after clinching the “Best European Airline in the Middle East” title during the recent gala ceremony of the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2013. 

The prestigious magazine holds its annual awards based on independent polls from readers in the Middle East.  

Peter Pollak, General Manager UAE and Director Gulf, Afghanistan & Iraq said: “This award is quite an honour as it expresses the enormous trust of our customers to our company, product and services.  We have a long history of operations in the Middle East, in fact since 1960, and now more than ever, strengthened our products on ground and onboard. Lufthansa is now investing EUR1 million every day for better products such as seats and lounges as a sign of our commitment to provide only the best that our customers deserve.”

No stranger to awards, Lufthansa received earlier this year a 5-Star rankings for its First Class product and First Class service (cabin staff and First Class Terminal in Frankfurt) package from Skytrax.   

Last month Lufthansa was also a Top 3 winner for the most punctual airline at Dubai International Airport being given out by DNATA, which operates the airport. With its partner Austrian Airlines going for the No1 award, the Lufthansa Group is as successful with its operations in Dubai like it is in Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, where it holds the European pole positions.
