LG Electronics Names Chef Ghada El Tally as its Ambassador for Home Appliances in the Levant

LG Electronics recently selected Chef Ghada El Tally, founder of Zafaran and Vanilla Magazine, the Ghada El Tally Cooking School for cake decoration and culinary arts, as its Brand Ambassador for LG Home Appliances (HA) products in the Middle East. This recognition was celebrated at an event attended by media representatives, bloggers, and tweeps on April 15^th 2014.

As part of its support to the chef, LG Electronics will also be organizing a monthly cooking demonstration at Ghada El Tally Cooking School and New Vision’s Show room at Mecca street r hosted by Ghada El Tally targeting LG’s and Ghada’s social media fans. This partnership cements further LG Electronics’ role as a supporter for women and their entrepreneurial spirit.

During the event, attendees were distributed across three teams and were put to the cooking challenge. The challenge involved preparing some of Ghada El Tally’s dessert recipes, whereby all recipes were cooked using LG’s SolarDOM ovens, which are known to combine the attributes of traditional ovens and microwaves in one.

With this support we are introducing working, and newly married women to new ways in which they can prepare a fast home-cooked meal, as we are also granting them the opportunity to upload El Tally’s recipes from YouTube. At LG we are committed to offering women the space, knowledge, and tools they need to stand out whether in the workplace or the community at large, and this partnership embodies this outlook.”

From her end El Tally added that she was proud to be recognized as LG Electronics Ambassador for Home Appliances HA in the Middle East, as she used this occasion to thank LG Electronics for its support for her cooking endeavors.  She further affirmed that the SolarDOM comes with a full host of innovative features. Taking her success a step further, El Tally also hosts programs on CBC Egypt and Ro’ya TV.

The SolarDOM oven from LG cooks at speeds four times faster than traditional ovens while conserving energy by 50%. It saves time and energy without compromising the natural value of items cooked in it. The SolarDOM combines the features of a microwave and traditional oven in one, making it the first of its kind in the world. Its elegant design has also granted it the iF Design Awards.

Ending the event on a high note, LG Electronics also conducted a raffle draw through which Zamel Safwan and Dima Abdulla went home with a SolarDOM oven each.
