LG Electronics (LG) today announced that the Optimus 3D was selected as the “Most Innovative Device” by Mobile Choice, a UK magazine dedicated to mobile phone reviews and industry news. The Optimus 3D has been heralded as changing the mobile technology landscape and Mobile Choice recognized that the device is the first smartphone to adopt cutting-edge 3D technology.
The LG Optimus 3D is a glasses-free stereoscopic 3D smartphone with a 4.3-inch 3D LCD display that enables users to create, enjoy and share 3D content. The device has a 1.0 GHz TI OMAP4 dual-core processor, which is supported by a dual-memory and dual-channel architecture, ensuring optimal efficiency.
Mobile Choice announced the final winners of the “Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2011” on October 6. Surveys completed by 10,000 readers determined the five shortlist candidates in the “Most Innovative Device” category. The final winner was selected by a panel of judges comprised of a Mobile Choice team and selected industry experts.
LG unveiled the latest product from their 3D Family –LG Optimus 3D Smartphone, the world’s first tri-dual architecture 3D Smartphone in the Middle East in September 2011. This LG Smartphone is a huge step forward in the utilization of full 3D functionality in everyday life – users can record and immediately view content in 3D without the need for special glasses.
