LG showcases innovative door-in-door refrigerators at CES 2013

LG Electronics (LG) is showcasing its large capacity refrigerators with the unique Door-in-Door system at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). A proprietary LG design, the ultra-convenient double layered Door-in-Door system opens with the simple push of a button, giving consumers quick access to their favorite snacks and drinks. In addition to putting sought-after items within easy reach, this sealed Door-in-Door compartment prevents the refrigerator’s chilled air from escaping, helping to keep food fresher longer. 

“LG’s latest user-friendly refrigerators now provide more usable storage space and a number of new convenience-oriented features,” said Seong-jin Jo, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Home Appliance Company. “LG has specifically focused on advanced insulation technologies, and this expertise enabled the larger capacities. The Door-in-Door, double layered door system and new organization systems are clear illustrations of LG’s commitment to bringing truly smart product designs to the consumer.” 

New French Door Refrigerator

LG’s French Door refrigerator offers a large 31 cu.ft. capacity and LG’s innovative dual access Door-in-Door system as well as other unique LG features including the Slim SpacePlus™ Ice System. With its slim design, the new ice system improves space efficiency by helping to free up additional storage space in the refrigerator door, effectively providing consumers with more usable refrigerator shelf space. Although it offers a larger inner capacity, LG’s new refrigerator maintains the same standard exterior size for its class. This is due to LG’s efficient space technology, which ultimately lets customers store more food without having to concern themselves about reduced kitchen space. 

The refrigerator’s Smart Cooling Plus System features LG’s propriety Linear Compressor comes that comes with LG’s 10-year parts warranty, the unique Fresh Air Filter system, a dual evaporator and multi-air flow technology. In addition to its reliability, the Linear Compressor delivers outstanding efficiency and energy savings while LG’s Fresh Air Filter system uses advanced technology to employ a powerful fan that removes odor from the fridge while simultaneously introducing purified air through special fresh air flow channels. This system ensures that food stays fresher longer.
