Bawadi Mall, the largest mall in Al Ain city and one of the leading malls in the UAE, hosted a special entertainment program featuring Kung Fu shows during Eid Al Fitr, as part of the Eid and Back to School activities.

The Kung Fu shows were performed by 14 Chinese players four times daily from 6 pm to 10 pm. Audiences were thrilled to watch the plays and interact with the performers. The shows commenced on first day of Eid and continued until September 10, last day of school holidays.

Commenting on the unique events, Khalid Shraim, Marketing Manager, Bawadi Mall said: “We are pleased with the huge response these shows generated. The number of visitors swelled to 420,000. Kung Fu is a traditional martial sport renowned in China and is part of the Chinese culture. By hosting these shows, Bawadi Mall enhanced the position of Al Ain as a city that brings together diverse cultures.”

He added: “This is the first time that Al Ain city has held such thrilling shows. Visitors had the chance to interact with the 14 players. At Bawadi Mall we always link our outreach events to sports because we believe that sport enhances the shopping experience.”

The players performed a variety of self defense and martial arts techniques that evoked an overwhelming response from visitors. The Martial Art or the “Hopak Fight” was the highlight of the show.

Kung Fu was established in China and went popular in whole of Eastern Asia. The game fully depends on the awareness and senses of the player and it propagates positive spirit amongst players as well as it keeps body in shape and boosts confidence.

Bawadi Mall also hosted the Kung Fu shows as part of “Back to School” campaign, with participation from leading tenants who displayed a wide array of school stationary, clothes, shoes and other items related to school.

The “Back to School” is an annual active campaign held at Bawadi Mall. The mall decided this year to incorporate Kung Fu, which is a popular game and very well known to children in the UAE, in the Back to School outreach campaign.

Shraim added: “We decided to merge Eid Al Fitr holiday activity with Back to School campaign to provide a distinctive experience for our visitors through entertainment programs that are relevant to the entire family.”

In addition to Kung Fu entrainment programs, the “Family Entertainment Center” offered exciting ambiance to the whole family, through a varied mix of fun, ranging from the “Roller Coaster” to the “Fun Ski Village”, amongst many other attractions. Bawadi Mall lined up new games at the Fun Village that included “The Plane Wing” and “The high Tower”. These two games are getting tremendous response from children.
