KPMG in Bahrain welcomes 25 new interns as part of Hussain Kasim Professional Internship program
During the event

KPMG in Bahrain recently hosted an event to welcome over 25 interns as a part of their ‘Hussain Kasim Professional Internship program’. The firm’s commitment to supporting the professional development of young Bahraini talent by nurturing them and grooming them across their Audit, Tax, Advisory and Support functions is an annual program where they engage with a number of National Universities, and Bahraini students studying in International Educational Institutions. Including the newest batch of 25 interns, the firm has onboarded a total of 47 young professionals so far this year. It is expected to receive a total of 75 interns by the end of the current financial year, with the aim of developing, mentoring, and potentially progressing them towards a full-time role, depending on the business’s need
Jamal Fakhro, Managing Partner of KPMG in Bahrain, commented during the event “Supporting the professional development of young people in the Kingdom is an important commitment for us to contribute towards both the economic growth of the Kingdom and community development in Bahrain. Through our bespoke internship program, we provide them with valuable opportunities aligned to their academic background to help them set the foundation towards a successful career. We truly believe that it is through the cultivation of young talent that we can build a vibrant, sustainable, and prosperous future for the Kingdom."
The Hussain Kasim Professional Internship program was established to offer students the chance to gain practical work experience and learn while working as a part of the firm’s professional teams in audit, advisory, and tax functions. The program is named after Mr. Hussain Kasim, a co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain and a highly respected teacher in the community who was passionate about supporting young professionals through lifelong learning opportunities. The program aims to select and accommodate 50-80 university students each year, as with previous years.
