KidZania Launches Search for Dubai’s Greatest Minichef

In celebration of the 2018 edition of Dubai Food Festival (DFF), KidZania® Dubai is launching a search for Dubai’s greatest Minichef, in partnership with School of Culinary and Finishing Arts Dubai (SCAFA)! There’s up to AED 10,000 in prizes to be won, including a culinary scholarship to SCAFA, and a two-night luxury family staycation at The Address Dubai Mall, so it’s the perfect chance for little chefs to test their skills!

Open to kidZ aged between 8-12 years old with a passion for food, the Minichef competition will teach and assess participants on kitchen organisation, food safety, creative plating and delicious flavours, showcasing the talents of some of Dubai’s greatest young chefs.

Registration for the culinary showdown costs AED 50 per child; with the cost being converted to an AED 50 Z Generation clothing voucher. KidZ will have to answer ten multiple-choice questions related to kitchens and cooking to participate, with entry submissions closing on March 3.

Following the first round, SCAFA will notify 180 kidZ that they’ve made it to the qualifying round, where they’ll participate in interactive workshops and a challenge to try and make it to the semi-finals.

Putting the young talents on show, the semi-finals and final showdown will then take place at Dubai Ice Rink on Friday, March 23 from 2pm, which will be free for all to attend as KidZania® announces the 2018 Minichef champion!

The KidZania® Minichef competition looks to educate and inspire kidZ to reach their greatest potential and pursue their passions, by providing them with exciting and interactive opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and save environment.
