Khalifa University participates in Najah Exhibition

Khalifa University announced today that it is participating in the ongoing Najah exhibition for education, training and employment which is being held in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from October 16th -18th

Khalifa University stand will provide visitors with information on the University’s various academic programs and available scholarships. The University students are also showcasing some of their research projects to the visitors. 

The University offers a variety of undergraduate degrees in engineering including Computer, Electronic, Software, Communication, Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical, and Industrial and Systems Engineering, as well as offering the students an option to minor in Nuclear Engineering. The University is also offering several new Ph.D. specializations in engineering, including: Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, Biomedical and Robotics. These new specializations add to the existing specializations in Communication, Computer and Electronic Engineering, as well as, the existing Master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering, Information Security, International and Civil Security and Master’s by Research in Engineering, in the specializations of Communication, Computer and Electronics. 

Emirati graduate students also enjoy the benefits of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Scholarship Program (Buhooth), which offers students competitive monthly salaries for full time students, health insurance to the students and their dependants, covers all tuition fees, study expenses, international conference attendance expenses and provides job placement after graduation. The program started back in October 2007 and it enrolls over 25 Emirati students. 

This year also marks the first year that Khalifa University will be offering an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. The degree will focus on teaching students to plan, design, and supervise the construction of a wide variety of facilities, such as space stations and launching facilities, offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, irrigation projects, distribution facilities for water and collection and treatment facilities for wastewater and hazardous wastes. 

Students graduating with this major will have ample opportunity to work in several exciting industries in the UAE and around the world, including engineering and construction firms, transport departments, environmental agencies, urban planning councils, the oil and gas industry and the police and armed forces.
