Jordan Atomic Energy Commission visits Russia

The delegation headed by the chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Dr. Khaled Toukan visited Russia on October 14-15th.

The programme started with a visit to the Rostov nuclear power plant, where the delegation inspected 2 power units, namely units  no. 3 (in operation) and no. 4 (currently under construction), visited the control panel in the engine room, and got introduced to the system for managing the design and construction of complex engineering objects based on the MULTI-D technology.

Jordan Atomic Energy Commission representatives also visited the Volgodonsk branch of JSC "AEM-technology" "ATOMMASH", where they got their introduction to the production process and quality control of equipment for nuclear power plants. Jordanian nuclear scientists also witnessed the shipment of the reactor vessel for the first unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

Following the visit, Dr. Khaled Toukan said he was impressed by the excellent work of Russian nuclear scientists and engineers.

The visit was organized by JSC "Rusatom Overseas Inc." within the framework of cooperation between Russia and Jordan for the project construction of the first nuclear power plant in the country.
