Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors MUN Conference at Al-Asriyya Schools

As part of its long term strategy to be actively involved in youth empowerment efforts, Jordan Ahli Bank recently sponsored the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, hosted by Al Asriyya Schools recently.  

The event, organized by the School’s Student Model United Nation’s Club, allowed participants to openly discuss pressing issues of global concern. Thus, it enabled students to learn more about the United Nations’ concept, policies, and nature of work. Set up to reflect the same operational structure as that seen in the United Nations’ General Assembly Meeting,   the conference presented a space for its delegates to sharpen their debating, negotiation, public speaking, writing, and planning skills. Students also took on the roles of delegates, ambassadors, country representatives, and other executives forming the United Nations General Assembly, ensuring an enlightening experience for all parties involved.   

To this effect, the management of Jordan Ahli Bank has made the support and sponsorship of this conference an integral part of its annual CSR agenda, as it believes that this event contributes significantly to national efforts made to empower and enhance the capacities and skills of Jordan’s human resources. The MUN Conference effectively arms the youth of today with the skills they need to become the leaders of tomorrow.

On this occasion, Jordan Ahli Bank commended the fruitful partnership it formed with Al Asriyya Schools, and in recognition for its support, it also received a plaque of appreciation from the latter at the conference’s closing ceremony.

It is worth noting that Jordan Ahli Bank is always keen on empowering youth. To this effect, it places the sponsorship of events that promise youth empowerment at the forefront of its CSR priorities. It believes that it is up to the private and public sector entities to support this community segment, so as to ensure that they will be the next generation to spearhead national developmental efforts forward.
