Jordan Ahli Bank makes notable presence at the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition

In line with its strategy for supporting the local community’s young entrepreneurs, Jordan Ahli Bank participated in the 5^th edition of the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition (QRNEC)’s closing ceremony as the initiative’s Platinum Sponsor.

The ceremony was held at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), with her Majesty Quean Rania Al Abdullah and Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hasan in attendance.

During the event, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah awarded the competition’s winning teams, from the technology projects category, the social entrepreneurship projects category, and the School students’ projects.  

This year the competition witnessed an increased participation with 250 teams comprising 700 students. Leading up to the award ceremony, the participants attended several training courses all geared towards enhancing their strategic planning, business planning, and project management skills. The courses were focused on projects relevant to Information Technology and Telecommunication, Energy Resource Management, Water Conservation, Life Sciences, Advanced Technologies, and Social Entrepreneurship.

During the award ceremony, HRH Princess Sumaya presented an honorary plaque to the Jordan Ahli Bank, in recognition and appreciation of its sponsorship and continuous support for the QRNEC, and for the instrumental role it played in equipping the youth of today with skills they need to lead the businesses of tomorrow.  The plaque was received by Jordan Ahli Bank’s Deputy CEO for Group Small and Medium Enterprise Banking, Mr. Faleh Al-Najjar

It is worth noting that the QRNEC is a 9-month program designed to help develop technology entrepreneurship in Jordan. The initiative is aimed at helping its participants develop their business and entrepreneurship skills by enhancing business and strategic planning capacities.  The program targets university graduates and especially those involved in technology related disciplines.

From its end, Jordan Ahli Bank continually supports initiatives geared toward instilling entrepreneurial behavior in the Kingdom’s youth and younger generations, the most recent of which being its sponsorship of Al Jude Foundation’s “Sherkitna” initiative.
