Jazeera Airways concludes sponsorship of Kuwait Times Photography Competition

JAZEERA Airways, the first private airline in Kuwait and the Middle East, announced the conclusion of its sponsorship of the 11th Kuwait Times Photography Competition under the theme “Kuwait Scenery”. This competition aimed at capturing and promoting artistic skills by showcasing beautiful landscapes across Kuwait. The lucky winners were recognized during an awards ceremony, which recently took place at Holiday Inn Hotel.
The nationwide competition served as a platform to display the creativity of Kuwaitis and expatriates, as well as to encourage photographic skills in the country. Professional and amateur photographers from all ages and races came together to creatively feature and document different settings and natural landscapes in Kuwait. This year, more than 150 participants joined the competition, submitting around 900 works, which were then reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of professional photographers.
Commenting on Jazeera Airways’ sponsorship of the annual competition, Mr. Rohit Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer at Jazeera Airways said, “We are proud to support this competition, which is in fact a partnership to form overall community awareness about art, an integral part of our culture. As a proud Kuwaiti airline, we remain committed to supporting activities that inspire a sense of patriotism and spearhead creativity and skills-building.’
Jazeera Airways’ exclusive airline sponsorship of the competition falls under the airline’s social corporate strategy, which places an important role on supporting creativity and innovation in Kuwait while enabling an equal opportunity to exhibit individual talent, as a testimony to its continuous efforts at enhancing and empowering national pride amongst Kuwaitis and those living in Kuwait.
Since its inception over 12 years ago, Jazeera Airways has strengthened its presence by currently flying to over 15 destinations and continues to serve as a beacon of excellence for innovative products and services to enhance travel experience on ground and in the air. Only recently, Jazeera Airways introduced a dedicated business lounge adjacent to its respective gates at Kuwait International Airport and is now scheduled to reveal its brand-new terminal that will showcase a broad portfolio of advanced technological and innovative solutions, as a testimony to its pioneering spirit. This is in addition to its newly launched WhatsApp phone number for all Jazeera passengers and interested customers, as well as its mobile app designed for those wishing to book their tickets or check in online, and many other innovative ideas that promise to change the travel experience in Kuwait and the region.
