IBM Named Continuity and Resilience Provider of the Year at the 2017 Business Continuity Institute Middle East Awards

IBM today announced that it has been named Continuity and Resilience Provider of the year, with its 7-Layers Resiliency Services Framework, at the 2017 Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Middle East Awards. The BCI is one of the leading institutes for business continuity and a membership and certifying organization for professionals worldwide.

The BCI Middle East Awards recognizes both individual professionals and organizations for their innovative and effective contribution in business continuity, risk and resilience.  In this year’s edition of the award, IBM topped the services and products category and was awarded for its services in the region, contribution to good practice within the technology space, customer support and positive customer feedback.

IBM 7-Layers Resiliency Services Framework is a suite of business continuity and resiliency services, designed to enable customers to plan and manage enterprise-wide resilience. This year, Gartner has positioned IBM Resiliency Services as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) for the third consecutive year. Additionally, IBM was once again positioned as one of the highest in ability to execute and the furthest in completeness of vision.

This year, IBM and Zain, Kuwait’s leading telecommunications company, collaborated to launch a new cloud disaster recovery service that will provide IBM and Zain’s enterprise customers with cloud-based business continuity capabilities and faster disaster recovery of their critical IT systems, without incurring the infrastructure expense of a second physical site. Through the new service, customers can benefit from the added flexibility of keeping their data in-country on IBM Cloud.
