Huawei Technologies, a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider will debut its enterprise business solutions at GITEX Technology Week 2011. The region’s largest ICT exhibition takes place from October 9-13 at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

Huawei Technologies will focus on its enterprise business and utilize GITEX Technology Week as a platform to showcase its end-to-end product and solutions portfolio. Comprising of Internet Protocol (IP) network solutions, cloud computing, data center, server and storage solutions, unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) solutions and industry integrated solutions, Huawei will present virtual demonstrations and live set ups of systems including telepresence, videoconferencing, IP call centres, and video surveillance so that each station gives visitors the opportunity to directly experience and understand the benefits of engaging with Huawei’s range of solutions and systems.

A key focus will be on cloud computing, data centres and integrated solutions for vertical industries. From solutions that build airport schedules for the aviation sector, Long Term Evolution (LTE) high speed railway communication systems, to communication networks used for oilfields, Huawei will address how a trend in the increased demands of  ‘smarter’ solutions will be instrumental in the success of  connecting and driving businesses across industries today.

Huawei’s range of customised smart devices from phones, tablets and media pads will also be available for visitors to touch and feel the experience of new-age technology at their finger tips on the go.

“GITEX plays an important role in a number of facets when it comes to the ICT business,” said Dr. Liu Qi, President, Huawei Enterprise Business, Middle East. “From connecting with key business decision makers to exchanging ideas and industry expertise with your key target audience, GITEX is an ideal platform through which we can showcase our strengths in offering end-to-end products and solutions across the enterprise market, telecom operators as well as the consumers. We believe the exhibition will also help us identify and leverage growth opportunities in the Middle East and we look forward to establishing a strong network with industry representatives looking for business opportunities.” He added.

The transformation of the entire industry has offered Huawei unprecedented new opportunities and enormous room for the strategic growth in the direction of the enterprise business. Organizations across industries are realizing the need to integrate IT into the overall business so that they can help identify areas where costs can be saved. As the development of the cloud computing era continues to mark a stronger presence in the region, industry experts at GITEX will have the opportunity to share industry views on the ever-evolving landscape of information communications technology and how it will impact business decisions over the next few years.

Visitors to Huawei’s stand will also get first-hand experience of cloud computing applications, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for business executives on the move. Presenting complete scenarios of how enterprise network solutions would be applicable and critical for both large enterprises and SMBs, campus networks, branch offices and transport networks are just some of the instances, where Huawei will demonstrate how building intelligent networks is a one-stop-shop solution for businesses looking to hit the ground running.

In driving customer-centric innovation and establishing strong partnerships, Huawei has consolidated its leadership in the market for providing mobile broadband, optical transmission, optical access, core networks, software, devices and global services.  It’s strengths in the telecom carriers market will continue to drive Huawei’s business in the enterprise market. With its years of technical expertise and investment in research and development, the global leader in ICT solutions is set to grow together with its customers and partners for the coming cloud computing and ICT convergence era.

Since rolling out its expansion plans into the maturing markets in late 2010, Huawei has achieved steady growth and has subsequently recorded a contract sales figure of USD2.7 billion for the Middle East market alone in 2010; an increase of 18.1 per cent compared with 2009.

Through creating unique value for its customers, Huawei is committed to recreating the impact in the enterprise market as it has in the telcoms market.

Huawei is located in the Gulfcomms section at Zabeel Hall at stand number Z-F25.
