HTC harnesses Desire EYE and RE camera technology by appointing world’s first Selfie Stylist

The Selfie, or self-portrait taken using a camera or smartphone, is fast becoming a global phenomenon. With over a million taken every day*, it’s no wonder consumers find themselves under pressure to capture that elusive ‘perfect’ shot. Sadly however, many find today’s smartphone technology doesn’t equip them well enough to achieve this.

Introducing international celebrity fashion stylist, Alexis Knox – HTC’s Selfie Stylist. Armed with the new HTC Desire EYE and innovative RE camera, HTC is working with Alexis to help users do just that, capture the perfect selfie.

Combining a stunning 5.2” Full HD display and market-leading 13MP front and rear cameras for detailed image quality, the HTC Desire EYE is the ultimate selfie companion and the perfect way to take photos and videos. BSI sensors capture crisp photos - even in low-light conditions - and intelligent dual-LED flash on both cameras provides flattering, natural tones, even in low light conditions. What’s more, the HTC EYE Experience software upgrade also includes unique selfie features such as Auto Selfie, Live Makeup, Photo Booth and Face Tracking, ensuring selfie subjects look flawless every time.

Alexis will also be stepping out from behind the camera with RE, HTC’s newest photography innovation. Re-imagining the point-and-shoot category, RE is a small handheld camera that allows you to naturally capture and fully experience the moment, through video and photography, without anything getting in the way. Featuring a high-resolution, 16MP CMOS sensor, Full HD (1080p) video recording, 146 degree wide-angle lens and slow-motion and time lapse recording, RE will capture unique video selfie moments like never before. The RE app will also back everything up to your mobile device or the cloud automatically, so there’s no need to worry about running out of space and missing a shot.
