More than 400 jobs offered to Dubai Higher Colleges of Technology students and graduates at Employers’ Day

More than 400 jobs opportunities were offered at the sixth Employers’ Day event held recently at the Higher Colleges of Technology – Dubai Women’s College (DWC).
Around 45 employers from leading organizations, representing the government, semi-government, and private sectors participated and advertised several full-time, part-time and summer employment vacancies during the day. Mashreq Bank was the Exclusive Employers’ Day Gold Sponsor.
The event aimed at maximizing the exposure of job opportunities to all DWC’s student bodies including graduates from previous years and current students.
Mariam Al Ali, Emiratisation Manager at Mashreq commented, “Mashreq’s participation at the Higher Colleges of Technologies – Dubai Women’s College Employers’ Day is reflection of our commitment towards the Emiratistation initiative. Throughout the Employers’ Day, nine informational sessions by industry experts were offered to students and faculty to introduce them to the organization/industry and to advise them about the employment opportunities and the Emiratization programs available in the job market in line with their academic programs/majors. In addition to the above, Lunch opportunities with industry experts were offered to distinguished students and their faculty to engage, network, and connect with employers to discuss and share recent market and industry trends.
During the day, DWC graduates and students got the chance to meet and network with participating Dubai employers and discussed possible employment opportunities with them. Students and graduates were interviewed and received competitive employment offers from several employers. “DWC Employers’ day is recognized as a major recruitment event and aims to provide Employers in the private and public sectors with the opportunity to source, competent and talented graduates, from one of the longest standing Colleges in the community. Our drive at DWC is to bring to campus the best Employers, on the day, to engage and interact with graduates and students. The objective is to facilitate recruitment for full-time and part-time positions, volunteer and summer employment and internships” said Rabia Bekhazi, DWC’s CAREERS Supervisor.
Employer Relations Coordinator, Dina Khalidi noted, “Employers’ Day provides a real chance for employers to educate our students and graduates about their organizations, and the available vacancies. For our students and graduates, this day is the right day to get employed, and to network, as we are hosting more than 45 employers from different sectors. This year, most of the participating employers are from the private sector, where we want our Emirati students to be more involved now and in the future.”
