Hamad Medical Corporation Leader recognized at Government HR Summit Awards

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Fatima Haidar, was recently named Government HR Leader of the Year during the annual Government HR Summit Awards in Abu Dhabi.

The summit brought together GCC government and public sector HR leaders to discuss a broad agenda that featured regional best practice and attraction strategies to bring Arab women into the workforce.

The award judges recognized Ms. Haidar’s leadership in harmonizing the national strategies of both workforce development and healthcare improvement.

The award submission highlighted a number of recent projects which have had a significant positive impact at HMC. These included the decentralization of HR offices to establish offices in each hospital; the introduction of HR Self Service, reducing the amount of paperwork and time spent on administrative processes; and the launch of the National Development Program, which welcomes more and more new Qatari employees to HMC each month.
