Gerry’s dnata expands its footprint with three new airport locations in Pakistan
Gerry’s dnata, the largest ground handler in Pakistan, has ramped up its scale of operations in Pakistan with the commencement of service at three new airports in Pakistan - Multan International airport (MUX) on 1 May, Quetta International (UET) on 11 June and Faisalabad International (LYP) on 11 July this year.
The new airport locations increase Gerry’s dnata footprint to seven airports across Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar, and makes it the largest ground handler in Pakistan, now able to welcome over 3 million passengers in and out of these locations every year.
To support the growth of the aviation industry across Pakistan, Gerry’s dnata has invested over USD 16.5 million across Pakistan towards cargo warehouses, new stations development, infrastructure projects, procurement of new Ground Service Equipment and state of the art technological advancements.
Replicating the award-winning dnata city in London Heathrow, Gerry’s dnata’s new warehouse project at Karachi covers the area of 70,0000 sq feet and will triple the companies tonnage handling capacity to more than 350,000 tonnes of cargo in Pakistan. At the new Multan airport, Gerry’s dnata has invested USD 3.5 million in infrastructure, including a dedicated Cargo Facility to handle imports and exports transiting through the airport.
Across the country, Gerry’s dnata expects to increase its staff count by 140 to accommodate the new services at these locations creating hundreds of local job opportunities for Pakistanis.
