GCC Gas Producers Association discusses with Emarat the preparations for its upcoming conference in Dubai

A delegation representing the Gas Producers Association – GCC Branch, whose headquarters are in Bahrain, made a visit to the offices of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat" in Dubai to discuss the preparations for holding the annual conference for the Gas Exporters in GCC, to be held on the ninth of May 2012. 

The delegation included Mr. Saad Al Turaiki, chairman of the Gas Producers Association and the vice president of Aramco for Gas Operations in the Southern Area, Aramco KSA, Mr. Mohammed Bu Rashid from PANAGAS, Mr. Kefah Al Faddagh from ARAMCO, and Mr. Ahmed Khaja from Qatar Petrol. 

The delegation met with Mr. Abdulrahman Qassim Al Ali, Commercial Sales Manager, Mr. Ibrahim Yacoob Al Tamimi Terminals & Logistics Manager, Engineer Arif Eissa Al Muhairi Engineering and Services Manager, Engineer Khaled Malallah Al Awadi Gas Oporations Manager, and . Hussain Kazim- Manager Corporate Communications at Emarat. 

Mr. Abdulrahman Qassim Al Ali welcomed the delegation, asserting the Corporation's commitment to cooperate with the Gas Producers Association and to the provision of support for the organization and the success of the conference. Mr. Al Ali highlighted the importance of the said conference in enhancing the collaboration between the members of the Association as it contributes to a great extent in serving and developing the gas sector in the GCC states, in addition to its role in the improvement of gas production and distribution and in the encouragement of knowledge sharing in this industry.  

Mr. Al Ali gave the delegation a brief presentation about the Corporation's various activities and programs. Engineer Khaled Malallah explained the gas operations in Sajaa, clarifying its distribution network in the United Arab Emirates and the relative logistics operations. At the end of the meeting, souvenir shields were exchanged between the two parties. 

The Gas Producers Association was established in 1993, and includes within its members the leading gas and oil companies in the Gulf region. The Association aims to enhance and develop the industry among the GCC countries enjoying great gas and oil supplies.
