FGB joins Flag Day celebrations

FGB, one of the leading banks in the UAE, joined Flag Day celebrations by raising the UAE’s flag in the bank’s headquarters in Khalidiyah on November 3^rd, 2016. The celebration was attended by the bank’s higher management and employees.

Commenting on the celebration, Abdulhamid Mohammed Saeed, MD and Board Member, FGB said: “FGB is participating in Flag Day to reiterate our loyalty to the UAE and to our leadership. On this national occasion, we would like to congratulate President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his brother Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their brothers the rulers of the Emirates, and Crown Princes. We are confident that the UAE continues to be recognised as a leader locally and globally.”

Saeed added: “The UAE’s banking sector has come a long way, through the country’s adoption of a solid banking structure that is sustainable and in line with international standards. FGB has played a significant role in supporting the UAE’s economy through providing products and financial services that mirror the country’s economic vision in addition to our participation in a number of programmes and projects to provide Emiratis with a comfortable living, such as our role in managing the ‘National Housing Loans’ programme. FGB has placed a clear strategy to support Emiratis by providing them with career opportunities and through launching a number of training programmes to promote national talent in the finance and banking sectors.”
