Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced a new Country Manager to lead its Irish management team, as the airline continues to build its presence in the Irish market.

Dave Walsh will become Etihad Airways Country Manager Ireland, taking over the post from Justin Warby who has returned to Etihad Airways’ head office in Abu Dhabi to head up its e-commerce division.

Mr Walsh joins Etihad Airways from Travelport. He has more than fifteen years’ experience working in the travel industry, both at Travelport and British Midland International, where he was Country Manager Ireland.

Etihad Airways President and Chief Executive Officer James Hogan said: “Etihad Airways’ operations in Ireland are key to our network strategy. We have invested heavily in Ireland and now operate 10 flights a week from Dublin to Abu Dhabi, and onwards to destinations throughout the Far East, Australasia and the Subcontinent.

“We look forward to welcoming Dave Walsh to the Etihad Airways family. He will ensure our team in Ireland achieves success in the coming months and years.”
