Ericsson: time to evolve the ict industry in the Middle East

Ericsson today announced its participation and Platinum sponsorship for Telecom World Middle East 2011, the Middle East’s largest gathering of telecom CEOs. The event will take place from the 4th – 6th of October at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai,
Among other topics that will be discussed, event delegates will hear Ericsson’s insights about the crucial role IP and LTE/4G will play in the emerged Networked Society and the current and future trends of the ICT industry in the region.
During the event, Ericsson’s President and Head of Region Middle East and Africa, Anders Lindblad will be one of the keynote speakers along other leading speakers from Ericsson and the industry.
“Communications technology is continuously changing our lives and how we interact with each other and the world around us. The journey to the Networked Society has already started here in region Middle East and we see more than 50 billion devices being connected by 2020 globally. It’s time for all of us as industry leaders to act and prepare our networks to cater for this change and evolve the ICT industry in the Middle East,” said Anders Lindblad.
As one of the Middle East’s largest and respected events, Telecom World Middle East 2011 provides a unique platform where the industry’s most influential decision-makers, CEOs and senior executive gather to share their insights on the industry and the latest technologies and solutions regionally and globally. In addition, over 500 telecom professionals will gather to hear 90 regional operators discuss their strategies for revenue growth and future investments.
