Ericsson celebrates the spirit of the Holy month with media in Dubai

Ericsson held a media Suhour to celebrate the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan in Dubai. The Suhour was hosted by Anders Lindblad, Head of Region Middle East, and attended by a number of journalists and media representatives from leading publications in the United Arab Emirates.

During the Suhour, Lindblad expressed his gratitude to the media for their longstanding support for Ericsson and its business and gave a brief overview about the current telecommunications market and its promising potential locally and regionally.

“Ericsson’s relationship in the UAE goes back a long way since the early 80’s when Etisalat awarded Ericsson large contracts to upgrade the land-based network from analog to digital. The UAE continues to be an important market for Ericsson and we are committed to continue providing offerings and services of the highest quality and value to our customers, designed to continuously improve telecommunications services and end-user experiences in the country,” said Lindblad.

Ericsson has been present in the Middle East for more than 120 years and has been working closely with operators on creating, developing and growing the telecom market in the region. Over the years Ericsson has had activities and operations in all 22 countries in Middle East and offices in 20. Today the approximately 5,000 Ericsson employees in the Middle East do business with more than 36 operators in the region.
