Rafiah Ibrahim, Head of Region Middle East and Africa at Ericsson was recognized at the ‘Best Leader’ in the telecom vendors leadership category at the prestigious .Gov Awards Gala Dinner, held on May 18th , 2016 at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.

Over the last 35 years, Rafiah Ibrahim has challenged the status quo, and taken the helm of the information and communications technology giant along the way. At each step, she has had a clear view of her role in leading the company to be successful. More recently she has inspired her customers, colleagues and the industry as a whole, by leading the charge of the transformation to life in the Networked Society.

The second annual ITP Technology .Gov Awards have been established to highlight the world leading progress made by the UAE Federal Government and Abu Dhabi Government in the field of smart government and the use of information technology to drive progress and improve lives. These awards recognize the outstanding work that has been conducted by the government sector in the capital in the past 12 months, in emerging fields such as online services, mobile applications and smart cities.
