Epicor named as finalist in three categories of the 2012 American Business Awards

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Epicor has been named a Stevie Finalist in the 2012 American Business Awards in three categories: New Product or Service of the Year; Customer Service Department of the Year; and, Fastest Growing Tech Company of the Year.  Finalists will ultimately be announced as Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winners in the program.

Epicor is represented as a Finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year category with its Epicor Retail Enterprise Store Central solution including its  unique multi-channel transaction adapter module that simplifies retailers’ daunting task of enabling the full spectrum of POS functions across all sales channels, so retailers can more effectively manage transactions and provide a consistent customer experience. In the Customer Service Department of the Year category, Epicor is recognized for providing world-class customer service in support of its innovative enterprise business software solutions. The May 2011 acquisition and merger of Epicor and Activant Solutions Inc. created one of the largest global providers of enterprise applications focused on the manufacturing, distribution, retail and services sectors- nearly doubling its former size with fiscal year 2011 revenues of over $845 million, Epicor is also a contender for a Stevie Award in the Fastest Growing Tech Company of the Year category.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. For the first time, The American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: the ABA's traditional banquet on Monday, June 18 in New York, and a new tech awards event on Monday, September 17 in San Francisco.

Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members of 10 specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place May 14-25.
