ENOC distributes over 65,000 Iftar packs and highlights values of charity during Ramadan

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and its subsidiaries conducted a range of activities to highlight the values associated with the Holy Month of Ramadan, and in partnership with Alokozay, distributed a record 65,000 Iftar packs to motorists throughout the month..

The company’s Autism Awareness campaign also received generous support during the Holy Month, collecting AED 100,000 for Dubai Autism Centre and reiterating ENOC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. 

ENOC joined hands with a number of public and private sector organisations to underline the values of compassion, charity and solidarity that are integral to the Holy Month. Itseducational and charitable activities were organized under a Ramadan campaign titled “The Month of Giving.”

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC’s Chief Executive Officer said: “We are thankful to our partners and all other stakeholders for their support in successfully organising various activities during the Holy Month. The activities undertaken by ENOC reiterate our commitment to make a meaningful difference to the community while also upholding the values that are integral to Ramadan.”

ENOC also took part in the Al Ajer campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which reiterates the importance of forgiveness and tolerance. It was ENOC’s second year to participate in the initiative launched by the Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

The popular “Dates & Water” campaign, s launched more than a decade ago, was the highlight and packs of dates, water and prayer beads where distributed to promote a healthy way of breaking fast during Ramadan.

ENOC also took part in the “Ramadan Care Packages Night” held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with staff members helping to pack and distribute care packages across many labour camps in town. The event was initiated by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Adopt-A-Camp.

Another special initiative was ENOC’s Weekly Ramadan Lecture series at its headquarters. Scholars and experts presented various facets of Ramadan highlighting the importance of charity, sacrifice and generosity. To promote the well-being of employees, an internal awareness campaign on healthy fasting was also rolled out.

In other key activities, Emirates Gas, an ENOC subsidiary, distributed free LPG refills to underprivileged families in the Northern Emirates, in addition to hosting Iftar at various mosques during Ramadan.
