Emirates Islamic supports student programme on cross-cultural learning

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, recently participated in a cross-cultural learning programme as it welcomed students of two prominent universities from the United States of America (USA).

The visit is part of a study programme organised by Miami University of Ohio and The University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management to offer participating students an opportunity to widen cross-cultural understanding on conducting business in the GCC, an increasingly important region within the global economy.

During the visit, Emirates Islamic provided the students an introduction on the principles of Islamic Finance. The group were also offered insight on the growing importance of Islamic Finance in the global financial system and the bank’s key contribution to the UAE economy.

Jamal Bin Ghalaita, CEO, Emirates Islamic said:  “Over the years, Emirates Islamic has taken the lead in raising awareness on Islamic banking, as a core component of our commitment to widen Islamic banking’s reach. Continuing with our outreach campaign, we are delighted to welcome this group of students from USA and we look forward to interacting with more students from the UAE, the GCC and across the world.”
