Emirates Islamic Bank seeks to attract UAE National talent through participation at campus career fairs

In line with its commitment to achieve higher Emiratisation rates, Emirates Islamic Bank participated in the Employment Expo 2013 recently hosted by Abu Dhabi Men’s College. Earlier this year, the bank also took part in the first Career Fair organised by the Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology, Al Ain.

“Emirates Islamic Bank is committed to the UAE’s Emiratisation policy, and aims to attract the best available local talent in the market, through offering qualified UAE Nationals a well-defined career path in Islamic banking,” said Faisal Aqil, Deputy CEO and General Manager, Retail Banking at Emirates Islamic Bank. “Our participation at campus-focused career exhibitions reflects our employment strategy, and enables us to better identify and select national students who have the appropriate qualifications to fit our requirements.”

“The Employment Expo hosted by Abu Dhabi Men’s College enabled us to showcase the opportunities available at Emirates Islamic Bank and also provided an excellent platform to build our brand image among the student fraternity. Through our participation, we seek to achieve more cooperation from all stakeholders, including institutions of higher education,which will enable them to know the precise job requirementsof the banking and finance market,” added Aqil.

The Employment Expo hosted by Abu Dhabi Men’s Collegebrought together key industry decision-makers from different sectors, and budding national talent who are seeking promising career opportunities. About 500 new graduates and experienced individuals from the college alumni participated in the event. In addition, hundreds of younger students attendedit to explore career options and opportunities for scholarships, sponsorships, part time jobs and summer employment.

The career fair saw representations from all academic areas, including Engineering, Business, Information Technology and Applied Communications.
