Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, has been awarded the prestigious Centre for Aviation (CAPA) Airline of the Year 2012; the third time that Emirates has won the award.

The CAPA Airline of the Year is awarded to the carrier that has had the greatest impact on the development of the airline industry.

“Receiving the CAPA Airline of the Year 2012 award means a great deal to the whole of the Emirates Group. Having our efforts recognised within the industry, especially as Emirates continues to strengthen its services within the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, is testament to our successful business model, ” said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Far East & Australasia.

“I would also like to thank all of the passengers that fly with Emirates each year; we will continue to work hard to provide the high standard of service and product that they have come to expect from us,” Mr Obaidalla added.

Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, CAPA is a leading provider of advisory and consultancy services to the region’s airlines, airports, governments, regulatory agencies, tourism authorities and suppliers.
