Emarat’s old fuel pumps in Sharjah Classic Cars Museum

Emirates General Petroleum Corporation “Emarat” has entrusted to Sharjah’s Classic Cars Museum a collection of its equipment and old petroleum pumps, which were used in its different service stations since the Corporation’s establishment in 1981 and until 1996, when a new era began at Emarat with total change and development. In 1996, Emarat launched a new corporate identity that included a global rebranding excercise for its stations network that reflect today the slogan and colours of the new brand Emarat.
Mr. Hussain Kazim Manager, Corporate Communications at Emarat, said that this new cooperation with the Museum aims to revive three decades of development at Emarat, since its inception in 1981 in accordance with the Federal Law No. 16 of 1980. The Corporation’s establishment was aimed at realizing the leading role entrusted to it by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, through the purchase and operation of all the capital assets which were owned by the foreign distribution companies operating in the UAE at that time.
