Emarat wins the Golden Aviation Wings Award as best airports operator in Europe, Africa and the Middle East

Emojet, the joint venture between Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat" and Exxon Mobil, which is considered Emarat's commercial arm for aviation fuel supply, won the Golden Aviation Wings Award from Exxon Mobil International, as the best airports operator in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for 2011, for achieving the highest rates of performance, security and safety in its operations. 

Mr. Abdulrahman Qassim Al Ali, Commercial Sales Manager at Emarat and Chairman of Emojet, expressed his pride and happiness with this award which confirms the high level that was achieved by the company in terms of performance, safety and reliability of its operations. 

Mr. Al Ali pointed out that the international good standing of the company was a result of its commitment to the best criteria of health, safety and environment protection in all its various operations. The company also endeavored to provide its services in accordance with the highest standards and through the best means, as it uses the newest control and supervision systems which enhanced its competitive edge and made the company the first choice of many international aviation companies. 

He further said that this award is one of the global awards granted to companies operating in the aviation fuel sector in the various airports of the world according to specific criteria and standards which are checked by an international inspection team. The most important criteria include the lack of clients’ complaints, delay in take off or staff and equipment accidents. He also pointed out that Exxon Mobil uses these awards as incentives for companies to deliver the best service possible. 

Mr. Al Ali thanked all the employees who had a hand in this achievement and who contributed in making Emojet a role model in its sector. He also expressed his gratitude to the Civil Aviation Authority and Dubai Airports for their continuous support of Emojet's operations at Dubai International Airport. 

Mr. Nassar Ibrahim Nassar, Manager Aviation Operatios, said that the joint venture "Emojet", had already been granted many awards by Exxon Mobil International, including the "Operational Safety Award" in Africa and the Middle East for 2003, when the company successfully supplied around 1850 airplanes without accidents to staff or equipment, the " Wings Award" for three consecutive years; 2004,2005 and 2006, for achieveing the highest rates of operational safety and security on site, and the "Best Operator in Airports" in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for the years 2008 and 2009, and the "International Wings Award" for 2010. 

Emojet was established in 1992 as a joint venture between Emarat and Exxon Mobil, with an aim to supply aviation fuel to airplanes in Dubai International Airport. Emojet was established in the airport according to the latest international standards of safety and security in order to provide the clients with the best products and services.
