Dubai Festival City Mall celebrated the significant progress of its AED 1.2 billion expansion by hosting a get-together for 800 workers, to express gratitude and appreciation for their hard work since the project was launched in 2014.

“These highly skilled and dedicated workers are the backbone of this complex expansion and redevelopment programme. Their hard work, proficiency and attention to safe building practices will be a key driver in the successful delivery of this project,” said Brad Merchant, General Manager

The mall recently unveiled a completely redesigned Festival Square, the shopping centre’s main atrium, with the addition of 25 globally acclaimed brands. The expansion which is set to include some of the world’s most iconic brands will be fully completed in 2016.

“We want to offer the best retail mix and create the ideal environment for shopping and entertainment. With this in mind, our aim is to become the UAE’s premier destination for both visitors and tourists who look forward to world-class shopping, dining and leisure experiences with their families and loved ones,” added Mr. Merchant.

He concluded: “The rest of 2015 will be very exciting as many milestones in our expansion progress will be announced before the New Year.”
