Dubai Exports to discuss important issues at the 3rd Exporters’ Forum “Towards Globalization”

Dubai Exports, an agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) – Government of Dubai, is holding the third Exporters’ Forum, which will tackle important issues and government support that will encourage more companies in the private sector to expand and export their products and services outside the UAE. 

Happening on the 23^rd of November at Ballroom B of Atlantis Hotel in Palm Jumeirah Dubai, the forum will convene all manufacturers, traders, service providers, international buyers, and officials from the federal, local government, and international organization. It will also provide a platform for the private sector to meet relevant officials from international trade organizations, and to discuss ways to strengthen the industrial and export sector with high ranking local & federal governments’ officials. 

His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of DED, said that Dubai government has been extending all the support needed to empower the manufacturing and exporting sector, which serves as among the pillar of the national economy. “We have been looking for ways to further enhance the competitiveness of our local companies and the annual Exporters’ Forum, organised by Dubai Exports, is a proactive approach that fosters and strengthens our industrial and export sector to achieve a robust economy in that future,” Al Qamzi said. 

“Serving as an important tool for Dubai Exports, the annual forum, which is held in the  last quarter of every year, gathers the local and international exporting community in one venue. The past Exporters’ Forums paved the way in equipping the local businesses with the appropriate tools to succeed in the competitive global marketplace,” said Engineer Saed Al Awadi, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Exports. 

“Among our objectives is to reinforce export opportunities for the manufacturing sector in the UAE making the country a significant exporting hub in the world. The presence and involvement of different federal, local & international organisations in the forum will bolster the confidence of the local exporters through the support provided by them including essential knowledge on policies and accesses to government tools to further sustain and aid the export activity in the country,” Al Awadi added.   

Among the topics to be discussed at the forum are the new initiatives and projects of Dubai Exports; presentation on the greater Arab Free Trade Zone, bilateral agreements between UAE and other countries; export opportunities to Brazil; Dubai Customs facilities and exports formalities; the ATA Carnet facility, the standard and certification requirements for the national exported products; air cargo facilities & services; export credit insurance services; and the importance of the International Trade statistics & marketing indicators. 

It will also have business meetings and networking sessions that will serve as a venue for the participants to meet companies and local government officials to discuss various topics relating to their industries. These networking sessions aim to create opportunities for UAE companies for investments, partnerships and increase mutual understanding between businesses.
