Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih chaired the Consultative Council meeting which was set to discuss means of developing cooperation with the vegetable and fruit sector.

Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih chaired the Consultative Council meeting which was set to discuss means of developing cooperation with the vegetable and fruit sector. The meeting focused on how this sector can benefit from the enormous advantages and facilities Dubai Customs offers and how to overcome any challenges that may face them.

The meeting was attended by Saed Al Awadi, CEO of Dubai Export Development Corporation (DEDC) and representatives of DP World, Dubai Chamber, Dubai Trade and the Department of Economic Development (DED).

A number of points and suggestions have been discussed in the meeting to develop means of cooperation between Dubai Customs and the vegetable and fruit sector to ensure best results that enable development of vegetable and fruit trade using the ultra-modern facilities that Dubai Customs offers.  

Director of Dubai Customs commented:

“It’s important we keep the good work and to maintain our good achievement of topping the 2018 happiness index at 97.49% through more coordination with business groups, members of the Dubai Customs Consultative Council. Musabih added:

“To ensure streamlined flow of goods through Dubai into local, regional and global markets we coordinate with our strategic partners in the local and federal government. We are helping build the momentum towards the establishment of Dubai Silk Road, the first item in the 50-Year Charter launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.”
