Dubai Culture joins hands with Dar Al Ber Society for 10th Annual Orphans Ceremony

In line with "the UAE Initiative for Connection with Orphans and Minors" launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for heritage and culture, has partnered with Dar Al Ber Society to organise the 10th Annual Orphans Ceremony, at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. 

Bringing joy to orphans, the ceremony featured Areesh tents that highlighted thedeep-rooted Arabic hospitality traditions. The tents hosted a variety of activities including traditional handicraft, Hennapainting, Emirati cuisine,folklore performances, Arabic calligraphy and many more. Dubai Culture’s participation focused on the key role that heritage and traditionsplay in highlighting Dubai’s history and in strengthening the UAE national identity.

In tune with the noble values associated with the Holy Month of Ramadan, Dubai Culture also fosters communication with orphans, strengthening the spirit ofcompassion towards them and supporting all efforts to achieve their happinessin line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who urges active participation in charity and humanitarian work to build a cohesive society.
