Dubai Culture marks ‘Flag Day’ to celebrate UAE national unity and achievements

The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, marked the ‘Flag Day,’ launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate the Accession Day of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. 

Dubai Culture organised special events with the UAE flags hoisted in the presence of Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of Dubai Culture at Al Shindagha. 

Dr. Salah Abdul Aziz Al Qassim, Advisor to Dubai Culture, raised the UAE flag at Dubai Public Library in Hor Al Anz. Both events were attended by Dubai Culture managers and employees. 

The Heritage team also organised several interesting activities at all heritage sites including the distribution of the UAE flags to the public, putting up a large flag and hoisting a huge sail at the Diving Village. 

The participation in the ‘Flag Day’ underlines Dubai Culture’s commitment to support initiatives that contribute to strengthening the UAE national identity. The Flag Day represents an unmatched opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the UAE and its future vision across various levels, which serve as a source of pride for the UAE citizens. 

As part of ‘Flag Day,’ all federal and local government entities were instructed to hoist the UAE flag on November 3, at 12pm, highlighting the nation’s unity under one umbrella.
