Discover ‘Surprizes’ Around Every Corner at the Dubai Mall This DSS

This Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), The Dubai Mall will be full of ‘surprizes’ that will delight visitors of all ages throughout the six-week festival. From a Playstation gaming tournament, to live entertainment featuring beloved characters from Marvel family and Cartoon Network, to an interactive LEGO® zone that inspires creativity, The Dubai Mall will be buzzing with entertainment for the entire family this summer.
Across The Dubai Mall’s vast 1,300-plus shopping options, visitors will be able to take advantage of excellent deals. What’s more, with any AED 100 spend or more, shoppers can enter to win the ultimate Grand Prize of 1 million Skywards Miles, or try their luck at the weekly draw of 100,000 Skywards Miles. To enter, shoppers can simply download The Dubai Mall app, register and scan in any receipts totalling AED 100 or more.
This follows the recent launch of the Emaar Malls Rewards Programme, a partnership between Emaar Malls and Emirates Skywards in which shoppers can earn Skywards Miles for shopping at The Dubai Mall. During DSS, shoppers will be able to earn both Skywards Miles and enter the draw to win the Grand Prize or weekly prizes.
From June 22-July 2, The Dubai Mall will host the DSS Gaming Challenge in Star Atrium inviting gaming fanatics and social gamers to challenge each other in the ultimate tournament. Playing hugely popular Playstation games including FIFA World Cup 18 and Fornite Battle Royale, the 10-day event will also feature an exclusive appearance from KSI (Olajide William "JJ" Olatunji, Jr), an actor, rapper and comedian on June 30 from 5pm-8pm, where finalists can vie for the chance to go head to head with this international social media star. Gamers can also go play against other popular influencers from the region including Tariq Al-Harbi, Saygin Yalcin, and Ahmed Al-Nasheet from June 22-23 and June 29-30.
Popular theme park attraction IMG Worlds of Adventure will be hosting an immersive family zone at the Star Atrium from July 5-August 4, where some of their most popular movie and TV characters from the Marvel family, Cartoon Network and Lost Valley will come to life. Featuring games, interactive multi-media experiences and character meet and greets, guests can experience a taste of this exciting theme park at The Dubai Mall.
Little ones can also unleash their imagination at the LEGO® City of Tomorrow build event, from July 15-August 4 at the Second Floor, near Grand Atrium. Challenging kids to use LEGO® to design a city of the future, LEGO® City of Tomorrow empowers kids to think about a city’s ecosystem, factoring in energy, nature, building and transportation requirements. Kids are encouraged to add their ideas to an ever-growing LEGO® city, inspiring others to think about the ideal city of tomorrow.
Throughout DSS, branded Surprize Telephone Booths placed throughout The Dubai Mall will be ringing randomly, inviting passing shoppers to answer the call for a chance to win an instant prize upon answering a trivia question correctly. At any moment, any of the telephone booths can ring, creating an element of surprise and excitement for all.
